Shu handicrafts are common such as the famous Shu brocade, Shu embroidery and Shu lacquer ware. The Sichuan opera is always included as an itinerary for Chengdu visitors. It is one of the oldest traditional Chinese operas around that is well appreciated. The face changing, fire spitting and puppet shows are some of the wonderful events that can be witnessed in the opera.<br /><br /> Tourist should make sure that their trip to Chengdu city includes a leisure time in one of their teahouses.
